InVue has partnered with a renowned sustainability consulting firm to help us further understand our environmental impact, build a plan to drive a more positive impact, and to accomplish our global sustainability goals.
- Source 100% renewable energy for InVue’s operations by 2025 (scope 2).
- Reduce energy consumption in our operations by 5% by 2024 as compared to a 2019 baseline.
- Reduce air miles by 332 miles per shipment by 2023 (Achieved: 94% ocean; 6% air).
- Reduce our business travel emissions by 30% by 2023 as compared to a 2019 baseline (Achieved: 50% reduction).
- Develop a Code of Conduct for our suppliers, outline an ESG engagement program for suppliers, and prioritize suppliers based on adherence to InVue’s Code of Conduct.
- Continue to invest in the communities in which we operate via community service and charity initiatives.
- Reduce the number of plastics in production by allowing recycled/regrind plastic resin in molded products.
- Conducted a full (Scopes 1-3) Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory in accordance with World Resources Institute’s (WRI) GHG Protocol for calendar year (CY) 2022 and 2019.
- Reported service-levelGHG emissions data as well for both Walmart & Microsoft.
- Submitted our first CDP Survey Response.
- Purchased verified offsets for 100% of our Scope 1 emissions and RECs for 95% of our Scope 2 emissions to work towards carbon neutrality in our operations.
- Hyundai Waste Energy Recovery Co-Generation Project Phase II is the first ever Verified Carbon Standard project in South Korea and consists of a 400-megawatt co-generation plant at Hyundai Steel.
- Green-e certified US Wind RECs.
- Completed an assessment of the current ESG landscape for InVue’s industry ensuring a strategic direction towards sustainability leadership.
- Continued to work with WAP Sustainability to further develop our ESG program.
- Invest in product innovations to reduce product level (scope 3) impacts from materials.
- Use-phase improvements to reduce energy consumption for customers & use-phase emissions.
- Develop an impact reduction strategy for packaging.
- Conduct updated full (Scopes 1-3) GHG Inventory in accordance with WRI’s GHG Protocol for calendar year (CY) 2023.
- Carry out service-level accounting for 2023.
- Report to external ratings organizations, including CDP and Gigaton.
