The new CT200: the perfect fixed tablet display

Today’s consumers expect speed, mobility and efficiency in all that they do, including their interactions with businesses. Tablets are proving to be a powerful tool in retail stores, hotels, restaurants, healthcare offices and more.

InVue’s latest innovation in its growing range of commercial products, the CT200, offers a wide range of opportunities to enhance the in-store customer experience, whether as a tool for associates to share information, ring up sales or locate products.

From digital signage to POS, InVue’s new CT200 helps businesses create a brand difference, cut costs, secure data, save space and increase sales. It’s versatile for a seamless integration and comes as a freestanding and mounted counter display, wall mount or floor stand, so users can install it as a permanent display, like for check-in counters, or can move it around as needed, like for digital displays.

Designed for easy use and maintenance, the tablet enclosure can be adjusted and rotated to accommodate different viewing styles. Sales associates can seamlessly turn the tablet back and forth between themselves and their customer, making the CT200 a versatile option for point-of-sale kiosks.

Businesses can also enjoy a high level of security through the use of InVue’s unique electronic key to remove the frame, keeping the tablet secure at all times. The key is fully programmable for users who wish to use the same key for multiple tablet stands.

The CT200, along with InVue’s entire commercial product line, will be on display at the NRF Retail’s Big Show taking place January 15th through the 17th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. InVue will be on hand at booth #202 to showcase how retailers can leverage tablets in-store to improve customer service and serve as a point-of-sale system.

InVue Introduces the Latest in Wearable Security

The wearables market is continuing to grow! The IDC recently announced that Q2 shipments are up more than 26% over this time last year to 22.5 million.

What is the top selling wearable? Fitness bands.

Protecting fitness bands while providing a true-to-life customer experience is difficult due to small sizes and differences in the bands available. That is no longer an issue for retailers with InVue’s new J704 Alarming Showcase. InVue’s latest innovation protects fitness bands as well as smartwatches, action cameras and small electronic devices.

What makes the J704 Alarming Showcase a perfect above-counter solution for retailers is that it both secures and powers the devices. With InVue’s IR2 or IR3 key, a sales associate can easily hand the device to a customer, who can then experience all the device has to offer. Smartwatches and other wearables need to be powered up to really see the features, and the J704 Alarming Showcase integrates OEM chargers so display happens the day it arrives in store.

Contact InVue today to see how this new showcase solution can provide a jewelry store experience in any retail environment.

The latest display security for Samsung Gear VR

Virtual reality is one of the most exciting developments in the gaming and entertainment industry. This long-awaited innovation in the form of VR goggles is finally coming into its own as a consumer technology. At the heart of VR is true interaction with the digital environment. In the retail setting, that demands a security system that has a truly seamless customer interaction. Since many customers may have never experienced this technology, consumers need to experience the VR headsets as they were truly meant to be used before making a purchase decision.

Retailers face the challenge of giving customers this true to life experience while protecting Virtual Reality devices from the moment they arrive in stores. InVue has the answer with two solutions that provide a true customer experience and can help retailers increase their sales in this rapidly expanding industry.

S3000 Wireless Security
InVue's S3000 solution delivers the ultimate customer experience with no cords in the way. It's a completely wireless power and alarm display that features the ability to charge the VR device. The alarm-on product provides alarming protection that stays with the VR headset. S2800 Solution
The S2800 solution for the Gear VR offers reliable protection for the VR headsets with a long cable that allows unrestricted head movement and a great customer experience. InVue Introduces the Latest in Wearable Security

There is no question that the wearables market continues to grow. The IDC recently announced that Q2 shipments are up 26.1% over this time last year, with 22.5 million units being shipped. Not only is the number of units increasing, but the types of wearables being offered. The ability for customers to try on and experience the wearable is the only way to turn an interest of a wearable into an actual sale.

Retailers face the challenge of displaying while protecting all of these new types of wearables the moment they arrive in their stores so that customers can have a true to life experience. What is a true to life experience? Customers being able to try on and experience a powered device. InVue has the answer with two new wearable security protection devices that can help retailers increase their sales of this exciting category of products.

J704 - Alarming Showcase for sales assisted environments
What makes the Alarming Showcase the perfect all above counter solution for retailers? It not only secures and alarms a wide range of products, it also powers these devices with integrated OEM power. Smartwatches and other wearables need to be powered on to have a customer really experience the features that will let them make a purchase decision. The J704 also protects other types of small electronics, such as wearable cameras, GPS systems and camera lenses.

A report by Salesfloor recently found that 84% of shoppers seek out a sales associate for help and 87% are more likely buy an item that is recommended by a sales associate. The J704 provides the ultimate customer experience in a sales assisted environment because once the associate unlocks and removes the wearable, the customer can fully experience the wearable.

W1000 - Protect Any Watch Day 1 for self-serve environments
The growing wearables market means many different types of smartwatches and fitness bands need to be protected so they can be on display. Each smartwatch has a different charging method and if a smartwatch or wearable can’t be powered, the customer is not likely to purchase it. Every time a retailer wants to feature a new wearable, they have to re-merchandise their display, costing time and money.

InVue’s newest wearable solution, the W1000 answers all of these challenges and more! The W1000 protects any watch or fitness band the moment the retailer receives it in inventory. An integrated power supply that is discreet results in a fully powered device. This new security solution allows customers to have a true-to-life experience – all without the need of a sales associate.

Two new wearable security solutions leads to increased sales
InVue continues to expand and enhance protection for the wearable market. But don’t just take our word for it. According to Nick Mardell, Business Development Manager for Juniper Research, “InVue’s new W1000 display unit and J704 alarming showcase provide an additional level of security and flexibility with display of wearables, which can provide a vital trial element before consumers purchase the device.”

Series 1060 success at AT&T

“Adding accessories to displays definitely increase our sales!”

AT&T Authorized Reseller Manager, Biral Shah, works hard to make his customers happy with their purchases, but his store’s outdated security system wasn’t working nearly as hard as he and his team. The store needed a more up-to-date and customer-oriented security system. The current system was technologically backward and negatively impacted both customer experience and sales. Then Shah’s store installed the Series 1060, the Smart Lock, the IR2 Key and the IR Locking Hook.

Since installing the IR Ecosystem, Shah and his team have more time to focus on what matters – customers and sales. Having one key on hand that works for every product has made interacting with customers and demonstrating merchandise more efficient and more effective. Nightly closing is now much faster, thanks to a streamlined process for securing merchandise.

While Shah is impressed with the technological precision of InVue’s solutions and the ability to secure and power merchandise at the same time, he notes that even those without such behind-the-scenes interest in the system have been impressed: “Customers like it. They like that accessories are easy to test.” And as we know, happy customers mean higher sales.

The Future Is Now With InVue’s IR3 Key

InVue innovation 2016…this is just the start.

At InVue, innovation is in our DNA. The new IR3 Key is no exception. In 2006, InVue introduced the IR Key, an advancement in security that provided a unique store or department code and time out feature for lost keys. With this introduction, retailers said goodbye to cumbersome key rings with multiple keys.  In 2012, InVue introduced the IR2 key that allowed for power transfer to a security device and enabled our exclusive IR Ecosystem — a storewide, single key security system for high theft display merchandise.  These keys helped InVue earn the dominant position in the retail security market. As good as we were, we were only solving half of the problem. The fact is that internal theft is about half of all retailer’s theft. The IR3 Key has data collection capabilities that when combined with our new Access Manager, allows retailers to control key access and know who engages a security device...and when.

The new IR3 Key takes the IR Ecosystem to new capabilities. It is compatible with all of InVue’s current and future products.

InVue Debuts Latest Smart Lock at NRF Big Show 2016

Innovative Lock Design Ensures Optimal Customer Experience While Protecting High Theft Merchandise Without Limitations of Traditional Mechanical Lock Systems

InVue today unveiled Smart Lock L430, the latest addition to the IR Ecosystem, an innovative retail security solution for high-theft merchandise. Integrating seamlessly into new or existing furniture, the Smart Lock L430 features a self-latching capability to protect merchandise on the sales floor without compromising the customer experience. InVue's Smart Lock technology uses a digital handshake to allow store associates quick access to high value products without leaving the customer's side and without disrupting the aesthetics of the retail store.

Unlike mechanical locks that can be picked or broken, the Smart Lock L430 is pick resistant and can only be accessed by an electronic key. Smart Lock L430 is also fully integrated with the IR Ecosystem, which uses only one key to control all InVue Solutions. Unlike anything else on the market today, Smart Lock L430 does not require a power or batteries and instead features innovative, patented electronic functionality through power transfer, ensuring the Smart Lock L430 is always ready for use. The unique ID of each lock enables auditing and zoning capabilities.

Additional highlights of the Smart Lock L430 include:

  • Self-Latching Electronic Lock - Unique design provides the confidence that cabinets are always locked so if a sales associate forgets to lock it, the cabinet will lock automatically.
  • Seamless integration into new & existing furniture - Virtually imperceptible, the L430 can be seamlessly hidden in the walls of a panel to maintain the aesthetics of a store environment without compromising security. The small yet powerful, adaptable design was developed with the store environment in mind to ensure the integrity of the retail environment and avoid the traditional pitfalls of bulky mechanical locks.

Today, top retailers including Best Buy, Verizon, and T-Mobile rely on the Smart Lock system to ensure the security of valuable merchandise, with the added benefit of improving associate sales productivity and increasing revenue. The key to Smart Lock's proven success is its ease of use and modern aesthetics, which can be incorporated into any display fixture. Smart Lock suite of solutions is part of the IR Ecosystem -- a storewide single key security system for high theft merchandise.

"Backrooms are shrinking as retailers are placing more and more merchandise on the sales floor," said Karen Bomber, Director of Product Marketing, InVue. "As a result, retailers must not only ensure the highest level of security, but a positive customer experience where the moment of decision results in the moment of purchase. Forward thinking retailers understand the power of the Smart Lock L430 to uniquely address these challenges and fuel increased sales opportunities."

Wearables’ Security is in Great Hands

InVue wearable security solutions in retail

One of the major growth opportunities in consumer electronics is wearable technology. In 2014, Activity Trackers grew roughly 65% over 2013.

Projections show that smart watches will continue to drive the growth of the wearables category with shipments expected to grow 188% in 2015.

And, smart watches are becoming smarter. Several brands are incorporating the functionality of dedicated fitness trackers by adding heart rate monitors and sleep tracking to their devices.

Headphones are also gaining more functionality. Currently, 7% of headphones are wireless and more advanced devices include activity tracking and music streaming. This leaves the door open for significant growth in “hearables”.*

InVue is staying ahead of the curve with security devices to protect these emerging products, including several solutions designed to secure a wide variety of smart watches, wearables and hearables including Zips 2.0, Zips Power, Series 2800, Wearable Security 1 and HS Smart Watches.

If you’re looking to secure merchandise in these emerging consumer electronics’ categories, InVue has the right products to meet your security needs and exceed your customers’ expectations.
